2. Organize iphone apps in folders
An easy and creative way to organize iphone apps is to arrange them in folders. Press and hold an app until they all start shaking. Drag one app icon on top of another one until iOS automatically creates a folder. Name the folder so you can conveniently locate the app. The system will also give a default name for the categories should there be one. A single folder can easily hold up to 12-20 apps and you can easily have up to 16 folders and 10 home screens. The same method is useful for creating and organizing apps on Android device.
3. Do not organize them at all!
Another easy and convenient way to organize Android apps is to not organize them at all! The App Menu screen on the phone will handle that duty and arrange the apps the way it wants.
4. Place them on the Home screen
Place frequently used apps on the first home screen. This is a convenient way of accessing an app quickly.
5. Create verb based folders
A neat little trick is to organize app folders logically such as ‘social folders’, ‘e-wallets’, ‘talk/chat’, ‘look’ etc to group similar apps together. This is a great and convenient way of organizing mobile applications. You can also have ‘utility’, ‘productivity’, ‘fitness’ and other self explanatory folders for apps.
6. Group together similar colored apps
App icons have a color for a special reason-so you can remember them and find them quickly. Arrange all similar colored app icons in one row or at least together. This will not only make it easier for you to look for a particular app- it will also make your phone display look more attractive. The human mind also associates things such as icons with their colors. So, for example, if you are looking for the Facebook app, you’d immediately look in the Blue group.
7. Use the alphabetical order
Another easy way to organize apps on iphone is to use the alphabetical order. Go to Settings-> General -> Reset -> Reset Layout. A drawback of this method is that your default applications which come pre-installed with the phone will go to their default locations while the other installed apps will be arranged alphabetically.
8. Based on your habits
Some users also like to arrange their mobile apps based on how they handle their phone. For example, you can place certain apps on the perimeter of the first home screen. Likewise, place the ones you rarely use in the center of the screen. You can also place important apps in rows-the first row being dedicated to your day-to-day apps like calendar, organizer, to-do-lists etc. The last row can be dedicated to entertainment apps like videos, readers and games etc. This is a creative way to organize apps.
9. All apps on same screen
Modern Android phones also allow you the ‘all apps’ on one screen option. This is a convenient way of seeing all your apps together. In case of Samsung phones, go to Settings ->Galaxy Labs->Advanced Features-> Show all apps on one screen. Tap this and watch all your applications come on one screen. Scroll left or right and see the beautiful display!
And those are pretty much the most convenient and creative ways to organize apps.
