High blood sugar or hyperglycemia has many negative health impacts. A higher than normal blood sugar level can lead to extreme thirst, blurred vision, shortness of breath and even coma. Blood sugar levels can sometimes go out of control in kids and adults with type 1 diabetes. In adults with type 2 diabetes, obesity and carbohydrate consumption can render naturally produced insulin useless causing spikes in blood sugar. 1. Note your readings
Here are the ideal non diabetic readings:
- Fasting blood sugar-under 100 mg/dl
