Shred it coarsely and spread it at the bottom of a glass baking dish. Mix onions, beef, egg, rice, beef, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons of soup. Divide the mixture and roll it into 12 small balls. Place one ball in the middle of each cabbage leaf and roll it up, envelope style. Place each roll seam-side down on the shredded cabbage in the baking dish. Pour remaining soup, sugar, tomatoes and lemon juice over the rolls. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 ½ hours. Uncover and bake for 30 minutes.
