Vinegar fabric softenerVinegar is your friend on laundry day. Use it instead of fabric softener for a natural softness to your clothes. It will help reduce that static cling. Clothes will rinse better if a cup of white vinegar is added to the last rinse water. The acid in vinegar is too mild to harm fabrics but strong enough to dissolve the alkalis in soaps and detergents. Brighten fabric colors. Add a 1/2 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle.
