Dealing with Grass stains


Treat grass-stained garments with a prewash stain remover. Then launder garments as usual, using liquid chlorine bleach if it is safe for the fabric. If chlorine bleach isn't recommended, use oxygen bleach instead.

The sooner you pretreat and launder the grass-stained clothes, the better your results will be, If a stain isn't removed in washing, don't dry it. Dryer heat will set the stain. Instead, try soaking the stain in an enzyme prewash product or a solution of liquid laundry detergent and water. Then, launder again.

Grass stains can be removed easily by scrubbing with an ordinary bar of white soap. Use a little elbow grease and it's gone.

To get those stubborn grass stains out, rub with alcohol and let this sit for a for minutes and then scrub again with dish liquid.

Molasses will remove grass stains. You can use this on your clothing or on your sneakers. Just put some molasses on the grass stain and rub it in and then wash the garment or use a brush to clean your sneakers. I got this tip from a very elderly friend who has since passed away. Everyone who I tell this about is very skeptical, but it works.
