Preserve the life of flowers Give your cut flowers that little but more life by spraying with hairspray. From around 1 foot away gently spray the underside of the leaves and petals.

Needle threading You can make it easier to thread a needle by first spraying the thread with a little hairspray. Place an old newspaper on a table and put the thread onto the newspaper before spraying.

Stocking ladders If you get a small ladder or run in your stockings, tights or pantyhose then grab the hairspray and give them a little spray. It will prevent the run from going any further.
