If there is a way then there must also be an Easy Way

Painful ears when flying

Pain in your ears is a common problem while flying. The reason for this is the dramatic change in air pressure. This can often be relieved by holding your nose and then trying to blow through your nose. This will equalize the pressure and ease the symptoms.

Another idea that has been mentioned is to chew chewing gum whilst flying. Worth a try!!!

However this does not always work for everybody so read on to see advice sent into the Easyways site. To help relieve pain in the ears when the plane begins its descent, take Sudafed Tablets which are available without prescription at the Chemist. Start to take the tablets, as stated on the box, a couple of days before flying and time your " flying day dose " so that you take one Sudafed about half an hour before the plane starts the descent. Everyone I have passed this tip on to say it works.

Easyways Says; Sudafed is a brand name of a decongestant medication. You can also buy store brand decongestants that will undoubtedly work just as well
