If there is a way then there must also be an Easy Way

Blood stains

Here are a few ideas if you have a blood stain on your clothing or by chance in the carpet.

If the blood stain is fresh and it is possible to soak the clothing item then do so immediately in cold water and the stain will flow out, never use warm or hot as this will set the blood in the material.

If it is more stubborn blood stain then apply a paste of meat tenderizing crystals and cold water to the area and then leave it for about an hour and rinse in cool water, and you will see the stain just flow away!

Fresh blood stains are easier to remove when you rub an ice cube over the stained area. After you see the ice starting to melt rinse in cold water and launder as usual

Remove a stubborn blood stain by applying hydrogen peroxide to the blood stained area, allowing it to bubble, then keep repeating the application until stain is gone. Launder as usual. Hydrogen peroxide is the main ingredient in commercial blood stain removers and this can save you money and time!

Pets often have mishaps in the home, and if your pet has cut itself, or left a mess on your carpet you can get the stain out! Milk poured over a blood stain, fresh or dried, will loosen the blood so you can blot it right up. Remember to never use warm water!

You can get blood stains out of clothing or carpeting using a paste made of corn starch and water. Apply the thick paste to the stained area and then rinse with cool water and blot as needed. After the area has dried you can brush off or vacuum up the excess corn starch.

More tips sent into the site are as follows:

Take Original Pine-Sol and place it in a spray bottle....Simply spray the blood spot with the Pine-Sol and watch it dissolve, if the blood stain is been there for a few days, then you may need to rub the Pine-Sol into the fabric...I used this on our new mattress after my Poodle bled on it.....It WORKED, no more blood spots....I have even used this on our sheets after cutting my leg while shaving the going to bed, getting blood spots on the sheet.....

Note: Pine-Sol is a general household cleaner available in the USA in grocery stores, drug stores and mass merchandisers such as Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Target.
