Perspiration and sweat stainsSweat and perspiration can cause quite a nasty stain both on light colored shirts and on darker colored clothing. To deal with these stains, put the item in a bucket of warm water with one cup of vinegar, white vinegar is great, and mix in. Soak your clothes for a couple of hours before laundering as usual. Do not use this method on dryclean only clothing. Fighting deodorant and perspiration stains are difficult but you can win! Using a clean sponge, wet with white vinegar and sponge on the stained area. Let your clothing sit for about an hour and then wash in very hot water. Use a detergent with bleach, and soak in the washer for about an hour. Then wash as you normally would. How can you prevent deodorant stains? Be sure to let your underarms dry before getting dressed. Look for deodorant that dries clear as this is quite the alternative these days. To get out perspirpation stains from your laundry soak your clothes in a strong solution of salt water over night and then wash as you normally would. If you are getting dressed and notice that you have deodorant stains on your shirt be sure to put some detergent on the area right away while waiting to be laundered. More Laundry Tips tips
