Cleaning Brushes and Combs
A very simple way to keep your brush or comb clean is to just throw them in with the laundry. Wash as usual. Be careful not to put them in the dryer, though. Just drip dry. Another way to keep brushes and combs clean, is to wash them every time you wash your hair. Use a nail brush and your regular shampoo and give them a scrub. The nail brush gets in between the teeth of the comb and the bristles on the hair brush. Simple and quick... Clean natural oil build-up and hair product residue from combs and brushes by soaking them in a solution of 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda (bicarbonate of soda) in a small basin of warm water. Rinse and allow to dry. A really good idea is to try and prevent the build up of hair that can accumulate on your brushes. I know it is a chore but it will make it easier in the long run. To give them a real good clean you can sprinkle some baking soda directly onto the brush or comb and then spray with vinegar. You get a lovely foaming reaction. Leave for 5 or 10 minutes and rinse clean. More Beauty Tips tips
