Air SicknessIf you are prone to feeling airsick, try to reserve a seat over a wing, here you will feel less turbulence. Also a seat in a non-smoking zone. Be well rested before you fly and wear loose clothes. Do not over eat, and try to avoid alcohol and cigarette smoke. As soon as you're seated, tilt the vent above you so that the air is directed towards your face. If your children are likely to suffer with airsickness, bring along their favorite games, toys and puzzles to distract them. Take anti-travel-sickness medicines half an hour before departure. Some travel medicines may cause a dry mouth, others may make you drowsy. If you begin to feel dizzy or nauseous, recline your seat (unless the plane is taking off or coming in to land) and close your eyes or stare at a fixed point. More Health Tips tips
