Alarm clock tips

An electronic timer can serve as a backup alarm clock for home or travel. You can get one that times up to 10 hours and, with three separate channels, can even work as a snooze alarm.

Ask a friend or relative to give you a morning wake-up call - and offer to return the favour.

Set an automatic timer to turn on all the lights, the radio in your bedroom for the time you want to get up.

On the night before you have to get up early, set out a breakfast that needs little preparation - fruit, cereal and rolls, for example. Invest in an automatic coffee or tea machine with a timer to make your early morning drink.
