Relief from Cramp


Cramp is a stiffening of the muscles into a spasm usually after exertion. It is caused by some type of build up of acid in the muscles. So here are a few ideas to help relieve the pain.

For relief from cramp, dip a towel in hot water and place it over the affected area.

Massage a half and half mixture of olive oil and clove oil into the muscle

Here is another tip I came across. Now if it works I do not know but the next time I have cramp in my leg you bet I am going to try it; To relieve cramp in the leg, stand in an empty bath with bare feet. A friend has suffered from cramp all his life and he says it works every time.

I would also like to add a remedy for "leg cramps" for those who wake up with them. I used to be waken up 3-4 times a week. Now I eat a banana each day. Have not had 1 since. Secret is potassium. Try it for 1 week, you will not be woken with leg cramps again!

I don't doubt the tip about potassium in bananas being good for leg cramps , but the great majority of cramps in the calves are caused by sleeping on your back with your heels beyond the mattress. Lie down and try it and you'll see how it cramps up those muscles.
